OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, developing BI solutions, creating insightful reports, and enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. Works cross-departmentally to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and availability.
Hiring range: $41-$44/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
▪ Develops, designs, and manages reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI to meet business needs.
▪ Gathers and interprets data, providing insights and recommendations to support decisionmaking. Generates standardized and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
▪ Utilizes SSIS for data integration tasks, including extracting, transforming, and loading data between various sources and SQL Server. Develops, maintains, and optimizes ETL processes to ensure data quality and performance. Manages data pipelines and workflows to support BI reporting requirements.
▪ Performs complex queries, stored procedures, and database performance tuning on SQL Server. Develops and maintains database objects, including views, indexes, and functions.
▪ Creates, maintains, and optimizes Power BI dashboards that meet user needs. Works with stakeholders to define key performance indicators and build automated reports. Trains users in Power BI functionalities and ensure accessibility to critical insights.
▪ Leverages Microsoft Fabric for data integration, pipeline management, and enhanced analytics. Collaborates with data engineers and other BI analysts to implement advanced analytics features using Microsoft Fabric.
▪ Establishes data quality protocols, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Support data governance initiatives and enforce standards for data integrity.

EDUCATION:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A focus on database management, data analytics, or business intelligence is preferred.
▪ Advanced Certifications in BI tools and technologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI), Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or SQL Server Database Certification, are highly advantageous.
▪ Master’s Degree (optional but preferred) in fields like Data Science, Business Analytics, or Computer Science will be a plus, with coursework or projects in data modeling, data visualization, or data engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
▪ 10+ years of experience in a BI role, focusing on SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
▪ SQL Server: Proficient in T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, and database management.
▪ SSRS: Experienced in creating and managing SSRS reports and supporting report automation.
▪ SSIS: Skilled in developing and managing ETL processes, handling data transformations and complex data workflows.
▪ Power BI: Proficient in Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query, to build user-friendly, interactive dashboards.
▪ Microsoft Fabric: Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric's capabilities for data orchestration, integration, and analytics.
▪ Knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices.
▪ Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
▪ Experience with data governance and quality assurance processes is a plus.
▪ Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
