Azure Manager - Hybrid

The Azure Manager oversees and manages the enterprise-wide integration of Azure cloud services with on-premise VMware infrastructure. Supports and collaborates with the Microsoft Service Fabric and EDW teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and data accessibility. Designs and implements robust, secure, and scalable hybrid infrastructure solutions. Develops and maintains governance frameworks for managing cloud and on-premise resources, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Evaluates and introduces new technologies and tools to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the infrastructure.

Hiring Range: $93,500 - $114,500

Southern California location preferred 

▪ Oversees and manages the integration of Azure cloud services with on-premise VMware infrastructure to create a seamless hybrid environment.
▪ Collaborates closely with the EUS,Security and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and data accessibility.
▪ Leads the architecture planning and execution for both cloud migrations and on-premise upgrades.
▪ Manages and optimizes infrastructure for cost, performance, and security across both environments; Provides strategic direction and oversight for disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
▪ Collaborates with IT security teams to design and implement comprehensive security measures across all platforms, including managing Single Sign-On solutions like Okta.
▪ Supervises, mentors, and leads teams responsible for cloud and virtual environment management, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
▪ Prepares forecasts for IT infrastructure expenditures, balancing between cloud services and on-premise solutions.
▪ Designs and implements secure and scalable infrastructure solutions that meet organizational needs.
▪ Helps enforce governance frameworks to ensure cloud and on-premise resources comply with industry standards and company policies.
▪ Plans and executes for both cloud migrations and on-premise upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
▪ Ensures robust networking solutions and manages Active Directory to facilitate seamless user access and operations.
▪ Other Duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

▪ Either extensive experience managing Microsoft Azure and VMware environments, including designing and deploying hybrid infrastructure solutions, or a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

▪ 3 + years' experience
▪ Demonstrated proficiency in virtualization, networking, and storage systems related to VMware and Azure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

▪ Extensive experience in managing Microsoft Azure and VMware environments, including designing and deploying hybrid infrastructure solutions.
▪ Highly organized, with analytical thinking.
▪ Expertise in managing Active Directory and ensuring seamless user access.
▪ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including developing and facilitating presentations and recommendations for team, corporate and service line leadership.
▪ Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, used to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals or groups; and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and engage in continuous learning.
▪ Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary IT teams and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
▪ Practical knowledge of IT compliance and risk management.
