Therapy Services Coordinator

Overview

Coordinate and process physician referrals, reports and re-authorizations as directed by Therapy Services Manager and/or Director. 

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with medical providers, Therapy Center associates and Contracted Therapy Service providers to ensure appropriate participant assignments and documentation for therapy services.
  • Coordinate, communicate and document interactions with participant, family and/or caregiver regarding Therapy Center and/or Contracted Services, assignments, schedules, concerns, suggestions, input, grievances, referrals or reports, as needed.
  • Provide professional oral and written communication skills with participants, associates, medical Therapy Service Coordinators and Case Managers. Exemplify Easter Seals Mission and Vision.
  • Communicate, meet and collaborate with Therapy Services Manager and associates. Participate in efficient, effective, quality service and Performance Improvement Projects. Provide Spanish communication and/or translation as needed. 

Qualifications

  • 3 plus years of customer service and Administrative experience
  • Ability to maintain positive customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Able to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) and related medical or healthcare computer software.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
