  • Overview

    Will assist individuals with scheduling appointments with counselors, registering for classes, learning how to maximize college resources, exploring funding options available, planning, preparing and completing weekly schedules of college classes and attending college classes with the individual supported.


    • Provide personal care for individuals when needed.
    • Assist in assessments, planning and evaluation processes.
    • Maintain all assigned documentation and data, including case notes, in a timely manner.
    • College experience is required.


    • Minimum of and Associates degree or high school diploma combined with two years of college and two years of work experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities
    • Strong mathematical skills and experience in college level math courses required
    • Must be computer literate, dependable, organized, very detail-oriented, and have flexible availability
    • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with all levels of staff, the general public and the people we support
    • Must have good leadership skills and be fiscally responsible
    • Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to provide assistance with personal care to individuals, including ability to transfer an individual who has no weight-bearing skills
    • Ability to walk, stand, stoop and push a wheelchair and be out in a variety of weather; ability to lift 70 pounds repetitively
    • Ability to pass health screening, obtain fingerprint clearance, and CPR First Aid Certification
    • Must have clean driving record of 3+ years, proof of valid CA driver's license, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration. Ability to travel locally
