The HR Communications Specialist Independent Contractor will work closely with the Internal Communications Director and members of the HR team to develop communications plans and strategies to support a large, decentralized organization to communicate HR information clearly, efficiently to all employees.
You will support the development and execution of employee communications to a diverse workforce on topics including: Compensation, Benefits, Wellness, Recognition, Engagement, Labor Relations, and other HR-related initiatives and policies.
Collaborate with HR and Marcom teams to create and execute timely, understandable HR communications to all employees.
Create messages for HR initiatives, topics, policies and procedures such as benefits open enrollment, compensation and merit programs.
Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with key internal stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or HR related field.
3-5+ years of progressive internal communications experience, specifically supporting HR Communications.
Exceptional written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Ability to distill complex Human Resources information pertaining to benefits, compensation, labor rules, payroll, recognition, into easily understandable communications for employees.
Must be passionate about the employee experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite of programs, including OneDrive, SharePoint knowledge helpful.
Ability to work with all levels in the organization and handle sensitive topics with discretion.
Self-starter who takes initiative and completes projects on time.
Ability to work under pressure, short turnaround times.
